What’s New in RedAlert Professional iOS 1.2.7

Software Update

We’re pleased to announce the latest RedAlert Professional app update, version 1.2.7, bringing improvements to performance, security and usability for lone workers.

The update is being released separately for iOS and Android, with each platform receiving enhancements designed to improve the overall user experience and reliability of the app.

Android App Updates:

1. Refreshed User Interface

The app has been given a modern visual refresh, providing a cleaner, more intuitive experience while retaining the familiar navigation and functionality users already know. The updated design improves readability and usability, making it easier to access key features and complete everyday tasks with confidence.
2. Revamped Settings Screen

The Settings menu has been redesigned and reorganised to improve clarity and usability, making it quicker and easier to find, view and manage key application settings. The improved layout provides a more intuitive experience, helping users configure the app more efficiently.
3. New Amber Timer Notification

A new Amber Timer notification pop-out helps ensure timers aren’t accidentally left running. If an Amber Timer is still active within the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), users will receive a clear on-screen reminder, helping them take appropriate action promptly and reducing the risk of missed check-ins.
4. Support for Our New Bluetooth Panic Button

The ability to connect a Bluetooth button to the application is nothing new however we have added the ability to pair a new improved button to the application. The new button has an improved battery life and a more rugged design. Customers using the existing Bluetooth button can continue to do so, with full compatibility remaining in place.
5. Optional SIP calling feature

In previous versions of the application all Amber Alert calls and Red Alert calls were made over a traditional PSTN call. With V1.2.7 it will be possible to make a SIP call meaning Amber and Red Alert calls can be made over a data or WIFI connection.
6. Training Screen bug fixed

On previous versions of the application on some model of handsets there has been a bug whereby some users of the application have not been able to complete the training as the Confirm button has been covered by the Android menu. In V1.2.7 this Confirm button will always display above the Android menu.

iOS App Updates

The latest iOS update focuses on improving the app’s stability, responsiveness and security.

Enhanced security

The update includes enhanced security encryption linked to the SIP calling feature, helping provide a more secure connection for supported calls.

Stability and Performance Improvements

This update includes several under-the-hood enhancements to improve application stability, responsiveness, and reliability across supported iOS devices. We’ve made a number of performance optimisations and technical improvements behind the scenes, helping to deliver a smoother and more consistent user experience. While these changes may not be immediately noticeable, they contribute to the overall reliability of the platform and support the dependable operation users expect from us.

When Will the Update Be Available?

The updated version of RedAlert Professional version 1.2.7 will be available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in the coming days. We recommend all Android and iOS users update to the latest version to benefit from the newest improvements, features, and enhancements.
